Where it all began and why?
Tarot reading began many years ago but it was then forgotten…
I will attempt to explain the meaning of the tarot first, and then draw my conclusions at the end.
The tarot is surrounded by mystery; even its true origins are unknown. It is believed that the earliest tarot decks appeared in Italy in the late 1400s when they were part of a popular Renaissance parlour game. However, some historians believe that the images on the cards came from ancient Egypt and India, and that sages secretly preserved their sacred symbolism by placing them on playing cards.
There are 78 tarot cards, 22 of these cards are called the Major Arcana,
The other 56 cards are divided into 4 suits - Wands, Cups, Swords, and-Pentacles (each with their own associations).
Even today the way tarot works still remains a mystery. While sceptics argue the cards are chosen randomly by chance, tarot readers raise the question of what “random” really means?
What Tarot means for me !
I believe there are no set ways to read the tarot, I only know how accurate they can be. I use my own intuition and the cards are my guides. I believe the best way to read the cards is to use my first spread as a general guide, this tells me what is on the person's mind and how many questions they would like me to look at.
I prefer not to refer to most of the literature and the meanings they give, as I feel this can place a restrictive block and stop me from providing a good, accurate reading. There is of course a little more involved at a spiritual level and can only be passed on in a one to one basis. I also strongly believe that it is a gift to be able to give people hope for the future, one which has been nurtured and harnessed over many years. It is possible to learn this art, however, it is not for the faint hearted as there is a certain element of dedication and care required to truly immerse yourself and focus in on people’s futures.
A little information about me...
I previously had a shop in Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, known as Tarot Corner. I was there for seven years and I loved my time there. It was a very busy shop and I got to know and become friends with a good number of my clients, who still keep in touch.
Today, I go under the name of Susan Seraphim. ‘Seraphim’ was the name given to me by a spiritualist whom I used to work with many years ago. He told me it would be good to always keep this name as it would always protect and look after me. The meaning of Seraphim is a higher form of angel.
As well as the tarot I read the Crystal ball, Rune, Palms, Tea leaves and also provide Reki healings.
A little note on this brand new system...
This is a very exciting time to be involved in Tarot reading at the moment with the new advances in technology which allow me to come straight to you through the PC.
What this allows me to do is have a close and personal one to one reading from the privacy of both your own home and my home. It resemebles all the features you might expect from my traditional approach to Tarot Reading, with the added advantages such as flexibility and availability. This new method allows me to work from home in the evenings (when the shop is closed for business) using my PC which I know suits lots of you as you have jobs and busy lives during the day also.
The partnership I have with forallyourtomorrows.com is a little closer to home than it seems (a certain close member of the family infact - who wishes to remain anonymous for the moment). Having this working partnership with someone so close, has allowed me to remain true to what I beleive in, the Tarot, and has paved the way for this truely magical system.
Thank you for taking the time out to research my page and I look forward to seeing you here online.
